As we have - make that YOU have - put together lists of great golf courses and getaways, one area/list that many have asked from our Facebook friends was a golf destination for couples. Well shame on us for not having this one up sooner - and good on you for coming up with a GREAT list of places. As always, it's hard to narrow it down to nine, but these were the ones that received the most response from our over 140,000 Facebook friends. - PGA.com

Most of us remember the iconic Fila logo emblazoned on the hats and shirts of PGA Tour superstars like Tom Watson in the 1980s and Lee Janzen in the 90s. Following that, however, there was a period when other brands took center stage. Those days are over, as Fila is making a huge comeback in the golf market thanks in part to a collection that’s crafted for world class athletes yet versatile enough to be worn for almost any activity.

There are hundreds if not thousands of municipal golf courses in the US. However, I doubt if many can compare to the excellent condition, scenic beauty, and quality golf available at Southern California's Coronado Golf Course. Over the years I have been fortunate to have traveled to all seven continents and 70 countries around the world. One country I had always hoped to visit, but never had, was the South Pacific island nation of Fiji. When a chance introduction to members of Tourism Fiji opened up an opportunity for me to visit Fiji recently, I jumped at the chance.

Key West has this perception of being weird, wild and simply offbeat. Indeed, it does possess these characteristics, but it is so much more! Be it a tropical retreat for some or a water sports destination for others, Key West has it all and then some.

Halfway through a tour of Chateau Roztez our host ushers us into the intimate chapel and smiles as our jaws hit the floor (and not for the first time). 'We have two churches here,' our host says in a whisper. 'This is our church of religion. Outside you will see that our designer Robin Hiseman has created a cathedral of golf.'

Perhaps couples golf trips are on the rise. Maybe more wives are accompanying their husbands on what were formerly guys-only golf junkets. Possibly the aging Baby Boomer population needs to work out the kinks caused by the 36-holes-a-day golf regimen, in concert with ever-increasing travel hassles.

In the old days the trick-your-eye greens of The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs were challenge enough for major championships like the 1959 U.S. Amateur won by Jack Nicklaus, the 1982 U.S. Women’s Amateur taken by Juli Inkster, or the 1995 U.S. Women’s Open won by Annika Sorenstam. But in today’s world of long-hitting technology and conditioned athletes, this summer’s 2008 U.S. Senior Open Championship has decided to add another wrinkle - fairways so narrow, about 28 yards on some par fours and fives, you might want to bring a pool cue.

Well, my wife was right again. A few years back, we visited The Big Island of Hawaii and I, of course, wanted all the bells and whistles of the swankest hotels on the island.
